OPERATION PRINCIPLE

Solar water heating systems are devices of different types and shapes that collect the solar energy and transmit it to water as heat. They are mostly used for heating water at homes. These systems are comprised of a transparent surface cover, a PVC pipe (absorbent plaque) having an increased energy holding capacity due to its black color, back insulation, and a case that contains these parts. Systems are placed planar to get the maximum sun light with respect to the latitude of the area. These systems are used for hot water supply near houses where needed.

The supports on which the system would be set were placed in an appropriate place to get sun light throughout the day.

The plate on which the PVC pipes would stand was constructed by nailing planks on the supports.

The surface was insulated with straphor to prevent the heat loss of the plate that had been constructed.

Straphor plates were nailed on their 4 sides to the wooden plate in order that they fully covered the surface.

The 100 meters PVC pipe was rolled around itself to form a coil so as to maximize the surface exposed to sun.

In order to set up a strong mechanism, pipes were attached to each other with wires from different points in each turn.

Tied pipe was placed on the plate and attached.

The PVC pipe was connected to the main water system on one side and to the hot water entry of the building on the other.

A wooden frame was built on four sides of the plate in order to heighten its perimeter. The transparent plastic, which would transfer the solar ray but preserve the heat, was stretched from its sides and fixed to the frame.

The perimeter of the fixed transparent surface was wrapped around with a secondary frame so as to make it air tight and strong and then the system was put into operation.
