Gold

From TT15 came a plain gold ornament which, as four small holes at the extremities show, was once affixed to some flexible materia such as leather. One end is squared off, the other is a V shape.

Also from TT15, in a drain outside the room containing the ivory inlay, came two very small fragments of gold leaf, perhaps from the same piece of furniture as the ivory which is itslef embellished with gold leaf.

Lead

The fill of Schmidt’s TT4 yielded a circular piece of lead, perhaps an ingot.

Copper

A number of copper or copper alloy objects were found, including half of a pair of tweezers and a variety of tacks and pins.

Post Iron Age surface finds include three coins, Roman, Byzantine and Seljuk, and cheek piece from a late Roman helmet.

Iron

A considerable number of iron objects were recovered, all in excellent condition. They include a large, flanged, semi-circular sheet with substantial nails in place, perhaps used to retain the top of a door post.
