DESCRIPTION
Openwork gold and electrum ornament with sheet metal, twisted wire, beaded wire and granules. Floral design with leaves and buds surmounted by a pyramidal blossom of four small spheres. Complete, squashed but in excellent condition.
DIMENSIONS
Diameter: about 39 mm.
Weight: 16 gr.
CONTEXT
Cappadocia Gate, the piece was found directly on the pavement behind the rear doors of the gate beneath charcoal from the destruction.

DESCRIPTION
Hollow sheet gold animal horn
Formed around wood, some of which is preserved in carbonized state in its interior. Slightly deformed, but probably not originally round in section. Made from 2 pieces of sheet gold, with 2 attachment holes--one either side of base.
